Q: The Business Artisan, tell us more?
Business, enterprise and trade are embedded within most human cultures. In Western society, business has improved our collective standard of living.
Most recently, personal and collective greed has caused a crisis which affects us all; the consequences will be with us for some time. Unchecked personal ego combined with executive excess and failed corporate governance is to blame for our economic situation.
Fundamentally, business is a mutually beneficial interaction between two parties. Anything less is a short-term exchange, destined sooner or later to fail.
Any relationship which consistently benefits one side more than the other is an unequal partnership that one day will end; typically with a bitter taste in the mouth!
There is another way; an alternative. Business ought to be profitable and pleasurable for those involved; if it isn’t why bother doing it?
Q: Business Development?
A fresh, unbiased and independent perspective will see through the fog of confusion that isĀ affecting your business.
The solution may be straightforward but for some reason progress is illusive, that’s where we come in.
We’ll make an effective, positive contribution from day one.
Q: Branding?
Branding your business is the single most important aspect of running your organisation. It takes thought, effort and determination to get it right and even more of the same to keep it right on the right track.
How your brand is perceived is, in reality, your reputation. Personal as well as business reputations are hard won and easily lost.
Consider:
“Every penny you spend on branding is wasted unless the people who deliver the brand, do so in a way which supports your brand values.

Q: Your People & Your Brands?
Every time a customer interacts with your brand has the potential to either confirm or challenge how they feel about your brand. It’s relatively easy to ensure brand consistency when it comes to printed material; applying the same rigour to the human elements of your brand will improve it’s success.
Consider:
“Every penny you spend developing your people is pointless unless your brand proposition is clear, memorable and compelling.

Q: The Business Artisan Point of View?
Talented people have more options;
However we imagine the future, the reality is likely to be quite different;
Take care of yourself, no-one else will;
Helping others is more satisfying than helping yourself;
Talent isn’t rare, sadly, it is rarely fully-realised;
If we accept the status-quo, then we must accept the outcomes.
Better precedes more;
One-to-one is more effective and cheaper in the long run.
